Location: Holland, MI
Hours: Full-time (Mon–Fri typical)
This is an entry-level position built to turn someone who can hustle and learn into a productive automotive technician. You’ll start in QC — doing final inspections, cleaning cars, running parts, and keeping the shop safe and stocked — but this role is explicitly a training track. We’ll help you get your trainee permit, give you paid hands-on learning time during downtime, and promote from within when you’re ready.
What you’ll do
Run the shop’s QC inspection on every completed repair order and perform a mini-clean before customer pickup.
Verify repairs were completed to spec; document and report any rework.
Keep shop floors, bathroom, and grounds clean and stocked.
Drive company vehicle for parts runs and customer shuttles when needed.
Help prep and maintain loaner cars when required.
Use downtime to train on real vehicle work under supervision.
Why this is different
This is a real pathway into tech work, not just a janitor job. We pay you to learn on cars.
We’ll help you get your trainee permit and schedule training time.
Strong performers get priority for technician openings and apprenticeships.
Who we want
Someone who wants to be a technician and is willing to do the work it takes to get there.
Basic automotive familiarity — can identify under hood components, change a tire, check fluids.
Valid US driver’s license and ability to drive with passengers.
Able to lift 50 lbs and do physical shop tasks (sweeping, bending, using floor machines).
Good attitude, reliable, shows up on time, and can communicate with customers professionally.
Able to read/write English and do basic math.
What you’ll get
Paid, on-the-job training and supervised practice on cars.
Trainee permit support (we’ll help you through the paperwork/training).
Clear path to technician role for people who learn fast and show up.
Competitive pay and benefits.
